Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to browse our menu and order online — including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
What we aim for
We aim for our online shop to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we test it against them. We are still working towards that, so some parts may not yet work as well as they should.
What the shop does
- Every part of ordering — the menu, your order, the cart and checkout — works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Buttons, links and form fields have names that screen readers announce, and changes such as adding an item or updating a quantity are read out.
- Form errors say which field needs attention.
- Text is sized in relative units and the pages work when zoomed to 200%.
- Text colours are chosen for readable contrast.
- The accessibility button in the bottom corner of every page lets you enlarge text, increase contrast, highlight links, switch to a more readable font and pause animations. Your choices are remembered on this device.
- The pages also follow your device's “reduce motion” setting.
Known limitations
- Photos and descriptions are added by our team. Some photos may not yet have a full text description.
- Card payments are taken on a secure page provided by Stripe, which is responsible for that page's accessibility.
- Maps, videos and booking tools come from other companies and only load when you ask for them; how accessible they are depends on those companies.
